It’s important after chemo therapy to replenish all lost nutrients from your entire body; bones, blood, brain, eyes, limbs. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Chef Mika has prepared this delicious replenishing, anti-oxidant rich smoothie for anyone to enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Frozen Tropical fruit blend (pineapples, mangoes, strawberries)

  • 1/4 cup Frozen cherries

  • 1/2 cup Frozen cherry berry kale blend (cherries, blueberries, strawberries, kale)

  • 1/2 Banana (fresh or frozen)

  • 1/3 cup Coconut water

  • 1/3 cup Cashew milk (almond milk or coconut milk can be used also)

  • 1/4 cup Strawberry-Banana or Berry Blend juice (optional)

  • 3 Tbsp Greek vanilla yogurt (**Kefir may be used as well)

  • 1 tsp Ground flax seeds (whole flax seeds can be used also)

  • 1 Tbsp wheat germ

  • 1/4 tsp Moringa (dried, fresh, or powder)

  • 1/4 tsp Ground turmeric

  • 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp Ground ginger

  • 1/4 tsp Ground nutmeg

  • 3 Tbsp *Raw honey (optional)

  •

*Note: Raw honey is sourced from plants has not been heated.

**Note: Kefir is a creamy fermented milk drink similar to a thin yogurt, with a slightly sour taste and is rich in good bacteria, yeasts, and probiotics.

Instructions:

  1.  Add all fruit blends to blender, along with moringa, wheat germ, ground flax seeds, all spices, and honey (if using).

  2.  Next, add yogurt, coconut water, cashew milk, and juice (if using) and blend until creamy.

  3.  At this stage, smoothie should be a bit frothy/slushy if frozen fruit was used so if you'd like it more liquid, add a bit more of your desired beverage from our yummy ingredient list.

  4.  Enjoy and stay replenished!!
